@Martin The Beta isn’t out just yet but you can get the daily build for today and run updates later. That’s pretty much the same thing. The daily can be downloaded here
Hi, I have a question. What does that …UI freeze mean for you, the design team? I thought that after it no UI changes are allowed, but maybe it is not for themes, default wallpaper and so on..? Earlier I thought that I will see the final design till that freeze but maybe design is being changed till the final release (or, if not, the final freeze)? Just it would be interesting to know.
Good luck
I’m on Lucid running Chromium and the fonts / text of the comments of this page are all messed up and overlapping where there’s a URL or Smiley. It also overflow’s the designated box. Is this page in beta?
@Tadas The UI freeze means everything should be set visually so means the same for us as for other teams. That’s the reason we had the updates to the theme and the wallpaper and contest winners in there.
However, there are sometimes things that need to be changed later or will take longer and that’s where we can apply for a freeze exception. That’s done in agreement with the platform team to ensure that they have the bug fixing time that they need. It’s usually accepted if it’s something simple like a wallpaper substitution or other asset swap that’s unlikely to destabalise the release.

@Salubrium sounds like cached style sheets. Is it still happening? Can you do a refresh and see?
