Only Ubuntu Members have access to the PPA at the moment, and they all have links already.
@Ivanka Can us mere mortals see a screenshot of the font in Bold? Please?
@Dieki, if only Ubuntu members have access, why post this? Why not send an email to a private-dev list. If at least a screenshot was provide, then fine….
As far as I know, there is no list that contains every one of the Ubuntu Members. This was probably the best way to get the news to all of them. Plus, it’s public, which makes everything feel less secretive.
It is the first time I see that a product will ultimately be for all, remains in evidence only for a select group of users. Anyway, I hope to finish soon as evidence that other men can enjoy the fullness of this typography.
I am not part of the beta program, but do you recommend to change rendering settings (subpixel, hinting etc.) with this font compared to the previous one (DejaVu Sans) once released?
